Thousands of families and relatives have selected Newport Beach Burial At Sea services for scattering of ashes at sea and sea burials for the greater Los Angeles, California area. There are numerous reasons for selecting a burial at sea service. Reasons for having a sea burial may include any of the following: love of the sea, burial at sea wishes of the deceased, nautical background or experiences, conservation of land space, environmentally friendly body burial, spiritual associations with the ocean and its life chain, affordability, and uniqueness.
The counties that we serve in the Southern California region include: South Orange County, North Orange County, Los Angeles County and Riverside County. Cities that we serve include Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Dana Point, Catalina Island, and Avalon.
Burial At Sea by Newport Landing includes three different types of ash scattering services in Southern California.
Family attended ash scattering services offer family members and loved ones the option to view the burial at sea ceremony from aboard one of our several vessels. Our vessels can accommodate up to 125 passengers.
Unattended ash scattering services offer a dignified sea burial option for family and loved ones who are unable to be present. The cremated remains are taken to a preselected burial site where they are released by our crew.
Viewing from shore services enable family members and loved ones to witness the burial at sea from land. This may be done on a beach, surrounding hills, or from one of our several piers within view of the final resting place.
Within each type of burial at sea memorial service, we can tailor that service to the wishes of family, relatives, and friends. With over 20 years of helping those dealing with loss, we take special care to ensure that all details are handled to the highest possible level. Many of us here at Newport Landing have dealt with the loss of family members, friends, and loved ones. We understand the challenges that can come with such a loss and recognize the impact a proper sea burial can have on those grieving.
